how to remove press-on nails

A successful removal will allow your press-on nails to be reused time and time again.

Tutorial: Soaking hands in warm water to gently remove Velvetkay press-on nails applied with tabs.

STEP 1: Soak nails

Fill a small bowl with warm water and add a drop of gentle soap.
Soak your fingertips for 10–15 minutes to soften the adhesive.
Using the cuticle pusher from the Velvetkay tool kit to gently lift the press-on nail edge.

STEP 2: REMOVE NAILS

Once the nails have softened, use a wooden cuticle stick to slowly lift the edges from the sides.
Do not pull or force - if it resists, continue soaking.
Gently peeling off the adhesive tab residue to make the Velvetkay nail ready for reuse.

STEP 3: REMOVE ADHESIVE

Use the cuticle tool and gently roll to lift off the adhesive.

step 4: Nourish and Restore

Finish with a layer of cuticle oil or hand cream to hydrate and condition your natural nails.
Place press-on nails back in box to be reused later.
